A chair massage is a 10, 15, 20 or 30 minute massage that focuses on the high tension areas of the neck, back, shoulders, arms and hands. The massage is performed on an ergonomically designed portable massage chair. You sit on the massage chair facing forward, with your head in a face rest. You don’t remove any clothing. Chair massage produces therapeutic results quickly by concentrating on the areas of greatest tension.

Not much – only a small 5′ x 6′ area is needed for the therapist to set up the massage chair and have enough room to move around comfortably.

No. During a chair massage, you remain fully clothed, though you may be asked to remove a jacket or obstructive jewelry.

No oils are used in chair massage. Sometimes a light and absorbent lotion is applied during hand massage. Please let your therapist know if you prefer no lotion, or have any medical conditions or allergies.
Before each massage session massage therapists wash their hands and clean and disinfect the massage chair and face-rest and apply a fresh face-rest cover.
Just ask! Our massage therapists are trained to adapt to a wide variety of body types and sensitivities to pressure.

During the 15-minute session, the therapist will focus on relieving muscle tension in your neck, shoulders, and back. If you’d like your arms and hands massaged too, please let the massage therapist know, but keep in mind that will leave less time for the other areas.

During the 20-minute session, the massage therapist will work on your neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. If you’d like more time spent on one specific area, just let the therapist know.

A 30-minute session allows the massage therapist do in-depth work on your neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. Any specific areas of concern can be thoroughly addressed.

At the beginning of the massage the therapist will ask if you have any specific concerns. If you’d like the massage therapist to focus on one specific area, just ask.

Not at all! It’s easy to mistake a sense of relaxation for fatigue. In fact, research has shown chair massage recipients to be more alert and focused afterwards.

Gratuities are not expected or necessary, but of course they are an excellent way to let the massage therapists know they’ve done an outstanding job. If you choose to tip, the average amount is 10-20%.

Absolutely. Massage can be very beneficial for women during pregnancy. However, be sure to let the massage therapist know you are pregnant in so they can assure your safety and comfort. This is especially true if you are in the first trimester, when it may not be obvious that you are pregnant.

Yes. Medical contraindications include but are not limited to: uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, fractures, herniated discs, malignancy, numbness or tingling in any part of the body, especially the hands and feet. The ideal number of therapists needed for your event will be determined by various factors including expected traffic, available space and your budget. Contact us and we’ll help determine the best strategy.

Infinite Massage works with only the best independent massage providers across the country who are trained and experienced in chair massage. We carefully screen, interview and check references for all massage therapists. We also provide background checks upon request.

For conventions, trade-shows and events, we recommend starting with 10-minute chair massage sessions and adjusting according to traffic. For corporate massage, 20-30 minutes is generally preferable.

Very little space is required – usually a 5×6 foot area is sufficient for the massage therapist to set up the chair and equipment and have enough room to move around the chair easily.

This depends on the size and location of the event. For smaller events with one or two therapists in larger cities, a minimal advance booking is required. However, for larger events and events in remote areas or multiple cities, we appreciate a minimum of two weeks’ advance notice.

AuRE – our exclusive Audio Relaxation Environment – is a terrific way to deliver your message while attendees are being massaged. Just give us a written copy of your marketing message and our audio production team will overlay it onto our soothing soundtrack. Your attendees will hear your message while receiving their chair massages, so you can be sure they won’t miss a thing.

For larger events, a booth attendant or greeter can be included in your quote – just let us know what your needs are and we’ll be sure to accommodate you.
